Watercolor on 1/2 sheet of 140# Arches cold press – SOLD
My friend’s boyfriend took a photo when he was in China which became the inspiration for this watercolor. The colors are a bit off because of the camera, but you get the idea. The actual watercolor is much darker. The original photo had a nice mistiness but I couldn’t quite capture it. I liked the stone path and it seems to work well in the painting.

Beautiful! I really love this one … the trees look like they’ve been rendered as Chinese kanji characters!

Your work gets better with each posting. You captured the heaviness of the stone path and the cool morning mist in the trees so perfectly.
This is one of my favorites- just gorgeous!
