I enjoy painting, crafting, traveling and napping. Not necessarily in that order.

napping while flying is the only way to travel. you forgot to mention that you also enjoy being funny.

There should be a sub-heading from your good friends in your ‘about me’ page. Perhaps we can extol your enormous talents better than you can.

i don’t believe you enjoy painting, traveling and crafting all before you enjoy napping? then again, of the four, I’ve only ever seen you travel, oh well yeah, and nap…. but it was a hammock, who wouldn’t nap… and you had to travel to get the nap!

Wow Carol you really opened up here. I feel as if I’ve known you forever.
Are you sure you want to share all this?

How long have you been keeping this webblog from me? I can’t believe your instant mastery at handling such difficult media. You are doing great! I still think they should at least give you credit for using your cherry blossom on the cover of the phone book, so those snooty idiots can realize that they are dealing with a major talent here….
Keep the good work coming. I will now get another platform to stay in touch with you.

Hi Carol,
In between yuks and smiles, I just wanted to say that virtual traveling through my Brooklyn with you is a load of fun. I will be back again.

Yes, it’s me….your muscular, athletic, healthy eating brother in law…may I suggest the coolata made with skim milk??? It’s only 2 billion calories and 50 million grams of fat, so you can have twice as many! Scott finds them far too sweet, but I say HA! Amateur! I also enjoy Starbuck’s Cafe Vanilla Frappucino’s, mostly because they cover the top of them with whipped cream. Just how do they get it into those spray bottles? I don’t really want to know. Just keep spraying it. Scott always poo-poos the coolatas in favor of the frapps. I say how can you compare pizza to french fires???…ice cream to chocolate cake? I say just enjoy them both – on the same day if possible.

Hi Carol,
How do you get your flag counter to be on the side column ?? I love it !
September 17, 2009 at 3:20 am
Carol King
Ok Isabelle, Here’s what you do:
You go to this site: http://www.flagcounter.com/index.html or you can just click on the flag counter and it will bring you to the main site and you can click on “get your own flag counter.”
You install it as a widget. Like me, you try like three or four times until you get so frustrated you say “screw it. Who cares if I have a flag counter on my site.”
Then you do the following:
1. Call someone who is at least 20 years younger than you are and ask them to install it for you. (That’s what I did.)
2. Call anyone who is a teenager.
3. Ask your local computer nerd.
If none of the above work…
4. Give up on the idea of having a flag counter entirely.
Hope this helps.

Carol, finally checked out your blog (since I wasn’t sure if it could be considered nsfw, I wanted to use taxpayer’s dollars instead and read it in the NY Public Library). I didn’t need to read this blog to know that you’re just awesome, but it helps! Will send you soon some beautiful pics from my trip to Cape Town and the surrounding areas for possible inspiration.

Thanks for checking out the blog and using taxpayer’s dollar’s to do it. At least we now know our taxpayer dollars are at work and working for a good cause.

Carol – I finally figured out how to subscribe to your blog for updates, so I’ll remember to read it more often without Alice sending me links to the especially great moments. It’s really a joy to read and to see your artwork all wrapped up in your wicked sense of humor!
