Thanks everyone for the good laugh - And I like your painting Carol - great tomatoes - shimmering and popping there on the Tuscan window sill.

Well done hey

Now I am feeling all hungry ...

I wanted something to complain about. Just like you to thwart me. I like this painting. The tomatoes look very real and ripe and ready to eat. I also like the variation in the wall colors/values. A good painting Carol, darn your hide.

OK - do another. And tell us about all those cooking skills you picked up as a young girl.

I am in total accord with your views on Italian food, Italian cooking and generally all things Italian. However - I am going to blow my own horn here and declare that I make the world's BEST brisket. I know - brisket is not Italian - but then again, neither am I.

Phone book soup!! HAHAHAHA!!! You're out of control. I've heard the yellow pages produce a heady & robust broth while the white pages tend toward the subtle, yet complex. Still love Jim's quote.

The tomatoes look pretty amazing. I'm now craving summer tomatoes. Summer tomatoes in Tuscany would be really nice....but I think the closest I'm going to get anytime soon is staring at your painting.

Beautiful ! I love those vibrant tomatoes... and you are SO RIGHT about Italian food. It's the BEST. I hope my grandmother's expertise has percolated down to me... I think it might have! I can make a fabulous spaghetti alla vonghola, AND great huge loaves of crusty, fragrant Italian olive oil bread. Next project: RAVIOLI !!

Keep up the great work... I love your tomatoes!
xoxo
